The metal roof guttering had corroded and begun leaking at the seams into the classrooms below, causing disruption to the students during lessons.

The gutters were hand prepared to remove all loose corrosion and leave a clean, keyed up surface.

A polyester resin primer followed by 2 layers of 600 gram chopped strand matting were applied. The matting was impregnated with polyester resin and rolled to expel all air.

Once cured, a final polyester flow coat pigmented dark grey was applied to completely seal in the laminate.

The result was a completely refurbished guttering, guaranteed against further leaks for the next 10 years.

The students and tutors are now able to continue their lessons uninterrupted.
